Theresa Ann Sulgit

With great sadness, Theresa Ann Sulgit’s family announces her passing on Sunday, February 2, 2020, in the Denver area, after 83 years of fun. Auntie Theresa, Fernanda, La Fonda Queen of the Gheh-toh, Terry, Mom, or Grandma Terry is survived by her two daughters Lisa Sulgit and Joanie Sulgit-Ware, her son-in-law Michael Ware, her granddaughter Ashley Karamaniolas, many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that felt like children to her, plus her furry granddaughter LuLu. Terry was predeceased by her beloved husband of almost 37 years, Vincent Sulgit, and her son, Paul Sulgit. She was the last survivor of her immediate family as “the baby.”  We hosted a lovely, intimate gathering in the Denver area on Saturday, February 15. Theresa grew up in Chicago, met her husband and raised her children there, after a brief time in Atlanta. Terry taught grammar school for 20 years, and the family was very involved in the St. Barbara parish community in Brookfield, Illinois. Unfortunately, we are postponing her Memorial Service due to Coronavirus scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Barbara’s Church. Please send her family any stories and pictures that we may share with family and friends online that day.
