Alex I. Muniz
On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Alex I. Muniz, loving family man, long-time Denver resident and father of four children, passed away at the age of 64.
Alex was born on June 4, 1956 in Denver, CO and grew up on the East Side of Denver. As a young man, Alex loved playing basketball, attending social gatherings and being the life of the party. Alex worked for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) as a Highway Maintenance Worker. He married Bennie I. Marquez and they enjoyed 23 years together raising their children, in a beautiful home that they built in Henderson, CO.
Above all, Alex loved his family and children unconditionally. He made them laugh so hard they shed tears of joy. He taught his children to fish, dance, work hard, dream big and the importance of great adventures.
Alex was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Miquela Muniz. He is survived by his children Angelita (Dana), Rosita (Justin), Alex, and Anita, wife Bennie, his grandchildren Janeya, Max, and Zaya, and his sisters Sue Aargon (Joe), Jeanette Muniz, Nancy Encinias (Joe), his brother Andrew Muniz (Chasity), many nieces and nephews, lots of cousins, and too many friends to count.
A special thank you to Valerie Martinez for caring for him with love until his passing.
